For a time—we do not know how long—Adam and Eve were at peace in their beautiful garden. They talked with God as a man would talk with his friend. They did whatever God told them to and did not know of anything evil. Yet Adam and Eve needed to learn that they must always obey God’s commands. God told Adam and Eve, “You may eat the fruit from all the trees in the garden except one. If you eat the fruit of that tree, you will die.”
On the sixth day of creation, God’s world was beautiful indeed. The fields were green, the flowers bloomed, and birds and animals roamed the forests. But there were no people, houses, farms, or cities on the earth. No children played under the trees. The world was ready for men and women to enjoy it. God said, “Let us make man in our likeness. He will have a soul and be master of all that is on the earth.”
Genesis 6-9 The Bible tells how, in the beginning, God created a wonderful world. It was full of beautiful plants and animals. The greatest creation of all was man and woman. God formed the man out of dust with his own hands. He breathed into him and he became a living soul. Then he made a woman to be his companion. They were named Adam and Eve. God planted a special garden for them to live in. He had a personal relationship with Adam and Eve and spent time with them in their new home.
We read in the Bible, “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them” (Genesis 1:27-28). God created man the highest and noblest of His creation, “The Lord God . . . breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). He expects man to serve and praise Him. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11). Therefore, His creatures should worship Him, and Him only, “Worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
Santra was a young woman who had never heard of the wonderful plan of salvation. She married and it appeared as though life would continue for her even as it did for many village girls. As time went on, there was not always sufficient in the home to provide for their family. When her husband began to drink alcohol, life became harder. Santra’s children did not have enough to eat. This hurt her deeply! Being desperate, she started to practice prostitution to feed her children.
The security of all Christians is in Christ. He died for us, forgave us, and promised a home in heaven to those who are faithful. There we will be eternally secure in his radiant presence. Even today Christians can have a calm assurance of salvation as long as they are faithful, for while they live, they have the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and when they die, they have the promise of a future home in heaven.
The Doctrine of Nonresistance, often called the Peace Doctrine, was taught by the Prince of Peace himself. He taught it by precept and example. The disciples of Jesus understood His teaching very well, and consequently were well qualified to also teach it and live by it. The early Christians, and the Church ever since, have found this to be the "way" of Christian living. It seems to be a mystery to human reasoning. But for those of us in whom "the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given us" (Romans 5:5), it remains no question.

Purity, Love, Happy Homes, Confidence Lust, Shame, Fear, Broken Homes, Loneliness Purity of mind, conscience, and body is a tremendous personal asset, a Christian virtue, and a blessing to mankind. Declining moral values of today cause men and women to accept and indulge in behavior that the Bible clearly defines as sin. This behavior has become an accepted way of life for many people. That which God calls sin is often accepted as permissible. What will be the result of this departure from the beautiful plan of God?
